Chiffon

Chiffon has been seen  almost everywhere. Wherever you turn you are bound to find a chiffon style garment. Color has become very popular and noone seems to be scared to wear it anymore. Bright colors have been making their way out in everyones wardrobe whether it be a pair of pants, or an accessory. The great thing about chiffon is that it can be worn casual and it can also be dressed up. People automatically think of chiffon and think of a long flowy dress or a formal affair, but this year chiffon has given a whole new look to its name.
At New York Fashion Week lemon chiffon was one of the trends seen on the runway. This color is a great trend for summer and especially in chiffon material. Most designers showed some sort of yellow in their collections. As stated in the Boston Globe,  For DKNY it was taxi cab yellow, for Chado Ralph Rucci it was canary yellow highlights to contrast with white and designers like Zac Posen and Caroline Herrara took it to a delicate level. This trend may not have been as widespread but it was a personal favorite.

Backcasting

Not so OVER you, Overalls

Overalls, you hear that and you instantly think working on a farm or looking like a little kid. But really, they have made a come back but in a much more styleish way. I would never think that overalls would ever be flattering or styleish ever again but beleive it or not they have done just that. They are seen in different colors, fabrics and looks and they actually look really good. Whether they be jean, cordoroy, or even a cotton you will make a statement.
For the summer overalls became quite popular but instead they were cut into jean shorts. You could wear a cute bandeau underneath, a shirt off your shoulder or even a bathing suit and you will be looking stylish. Jean will always be the best way to wear an overall but different styles has come out to make this look more up to date. Whether it be having the straps a little thinner, or the shorts cut wide, or even wearing the top part down and pairing it with a stylish sweater.

Color

Colour Me Bad
Color has really made its statement in the fashion world. Whether it be on your lips, on your jeans, or even your pumps. Who knew that wearing megenta pink jeans, or royal blue jeans would be a fashion statement this day in age? Well, its seem almost everywhere and everyone wants a pair! It is so easy to make a trendy outfit with color these days and it really will make a bold statement. It is certainly not boring, and it pairs well with almost any neutral color clothes you have hidden in your closet.
One look that has made its way everywhere was the color lip. Lipstick has made a huge turn lately and almost everyone is wearing a color lip and it doesnt matter what age. Wearing a red lip with a simple black dress can simply just make an outfit better. It adds a lot to whatever you are wearing and believe it or not it can look good on almost anyone. Even a soft pink during the day can make a statement. Accessories have been seen in almost every color whether it be neons, pastels, or cool patterns. Patterns and colors have gone hand in hand and have even brought back the hippie 60's look. Wearing a neon yellow clutch, with a black leather jacket is something I have seen and it makes quite a statement. Not only is color booming with clothing and accessories but also with your hair. Coloring the tips of your hair with different pastels, or bright colors has been a new fashion statement.

Prints Charming

London Fashion Week

StylesSaint.com

Fashion Week in London showed many trends, for one is the minimalist look. As London Fashion Week Daily says, the likes of Helmut Lang, Jil Sander, and Ann Demeulemeester produce a skew whiff hemline, a whole lack of detail, and a bold block of colour found on whire or black exemplified the look of the nineties. This pure style may be far different from the loud prints and colors that has been all over the fashion world. But it is making a comeback with a few 21st century qualifications. As stsated in London Fashion Week Daily, “In the Nineties women didn’t wear high heels with these minimalist styles," explains Simon Doonan, Creative Ambassador at Large of Barneys New York. “The fact that people wear them now changes the whole look.”
The younger generation of designers including Thomas Trait and Simone Rocha look to continue the new mood  London Fashion Week Daily states that even unique can be found rolling back the decades to give their younger customers a taste of how cool the former generation actualyl was. The brand’s Creative Director, Kate Phelan, describes the Nineties revival as being about “wearing clothes in a free and individual style.” Christian Blanken stated after his show “I think it’s about getting rid of all unwanted detail and making clothes that women want to wear,”“Not esoteric and exclusive.”
